ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Analyst, Global Trade Compliance, you will play an important role in helping SC Johnson meet its international trade obligations and maintain strong global compliance practices. You will collaborate with customs brokers, colleagues, and external partners to translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions and consistent global processes. This role offers the opportunity to influence compliance decisions, strengthen business operations, and help the organization remain prepared for evolving trade requirements.

  • Conduct post-entry and weekly entry audits to ensure accuracy and drive corrective actions, as needed.

  • Substantiate and complete tariff preference claims by applying product-specific rules of origin and origin procedures.

  • Support compliance with recordkeeping requirements.

  • Screen vendors, customers, employees, and end users to maintain compliance safeguards.

  • Determine applicable export classifications and licensing requirements.

  • Advise on country-of-origin marking requirements.

  • Respond promptly to compliance inquiries from internal and external partners, escalating issues to the Global Trade Compliance Manager when appropriate.

  • Support compliance training, operating procedures, and communications.

  • Participate in project meetings, providing guidance on trade compliance practices, policies, and regulatory considerations.

  • Monitor trade news and regulatory updates to help keep the organization informed and prepared.

REQUIRED experience YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, supply chain, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information to support compliance goals and objectives.

  • Experience planning, implementing, monitoring, and completing compliance processes and controls with effective communication.

  • Ability to identify, assess, prioritize, document, and manage compliance risks and their potential business impact.

  • Ability to learn, maintain knowledge of, and apply regulatory and legal requirements related to the manufacturing and distribution of SC Johnson products.

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships that support compliance objectives.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience with customs classification.

  • Experience using SAP enterprise resource planning software.

  • Familiarity with Incoterms.

  • Certified Customs Specialist, Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Export Professional, or a similar professional certification.

  • Experience with Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, International Air Transport Association, and International Maritime Dangerous Goods regulations.

  • Experience with work automation tools and SharePoint.

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time position, typically working regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

  • Flexibility to support calls and meetings across global time zones.

  • Office work environment. Remote work is available one day per week following a 90-day onboarding period.

  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
