Seasonal Field Technician

We are hiring for two seasonal technician positions, one for the summer/fall, and one for the winter. Applicant dependent, there is a possibility to combine both seasonal field technician positions into a single, longer-term position

Summer Field Technician $4,000/month: June to mid-December 2026 and 2027

The 2026 and 2027 summer/fall field seasons will involve field work comprising summer camera surveys, prey and meadow surveys, and fall fox trapping followed by snow tracking as conditions permit during November and December. We are looking for a strong hiker with well-honed problem solving skills, a positive attitude, an easy going demeanor, and willingness to work hard in rugged conditions. Housing and a work truck are provided. 

Winter Field Technician January to April 2027 and 2028; $4,000 to $4,300/month depending on experience.

The 2027 and 2028 winter field seasons will run from January to April, and comprise winter snow tracking for foxes and coyotes in fox home ranges.

We are looking for a strong winter field biologist to work on a 2-person crew. The position involves snowmobiling and winter travel, and may include some fox box trapping. Housing and a work truck are provided. 

Provided housing will be within the greater Mt. Rainier area, with specific locations still being discussed.
