About the job:
This position will work in the Natural Resources and Trails department in the Trails division while focusing on the maintenance of undeveloped natural areas, including riparian areas and areas with native vegetation, and work on park grounds, outside facilities, and hard and soft surface trails.
The Park Maintenance Worker 2- Trails is the journey level in the Park Maintenance Worker classification and also performs the duties of a Park Maintenance Worker 1- Trails. The Park Maintenance Worker 2 is distinguished from the Park Maintenance Worker 1by leading staff, projects, or programs in addition to performing higher level responsibilities.

Supervision received
Works under the supervision of the Trails Supervisor. Follows standard processes and procedures without supervision but confirms changes to standard practices and significant decision in advance.
Supervision exercised
Supervision is not normally a responsibility of this classification; however, provides training, direction and leadership to Park Maintenance Worker 1 staff and volunteers.
