POSITION PURPOSE
The Outreach & Advocacy Manager is responsible for executing public engagement campaigns that further the mission of Montana jobshiringnearme.org Voters and the MCV Education Fund. This role transforms complex policy priorities into meaningful grassroots action by designing and implementing multi-channel educational and advocacy campaigns, directing political accountability programs, and engaging partners around shared policy goals. The position plays a central role in building sustained public support and driving measurable engagement across Montana.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Montana jobshiringnearme.org Voters (MCV) and the MCV Education Fund are mission-driven nonpartisan nonprofit organizations working together to protect Montana’s clean air and water, public lands, and democracy for current and future generations. MCV supports this goal by conducting issue advocacy and political accountability while supporting conservation champions across Montana. The MCV Education Fund focuses on public and voter education, as well as issue advocacy.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position serves as a central hub for public engagement. The Outreach & Advocacy Manager works in a collaborative remote environment, coordinating regularly with the Communications Manager for content production, the Field Coordinator for regional mobilization, and the Development Director to align advocacy efforts with funder priorities and storytelling. This role also translates policy information from the Government Affairs Director into effective, long-term public engagement strategies that build durable support across the state.
