The Institute on Aging is seeking a research specialist that will work closely with investigators on the MIDUS (Midlife in the United States) project. MIDUS is a national longitudinal research study that investigates the human aging process by measuring protein biomarkers expressed by the body, administering physical and psychological tests, and determining socioeconomic factors of all participants. This research position is within the Biological Core, which coordinates the shipment of human samples across multiple sites and runs immunoassays in-house to test hormone, immune and hematological measures that impact overall health.

The starting salary for the position is $50,000, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Bachelor’s degree in biology, neurobiology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, chemistry, or related area is the preferred minimum.
