The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of Plastic Ocean Project, responsible for overall organizational management, fundraising, program development, and community engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader who brings both a scientific background and a commitment to inclusive, community-driven work. Serving as the spokesperson for our organization, this role offers the opportunity to lead a science-based organization through a transformative period of growth and discovery.
Our team is seeking a mission-driven leader who can strengthen organizational operations, expand fundraising capacity, and serve as a compelling public advocate for science-based solutions to the plastic pollution crisis. At Plastic Ocean Project, the executive director will play a central role in developing, refining, and executing the company’s business strategy in close partnership with the Board of Directors, translating strategic direction into actionable plans and driving organizational alignment and performance.
