Work Area ManagerSalary starting at £34,955 per annum, late shift allowance of £464.27 per month, 10% bonus potential, 25 days annual leave (inc bank holidays) and defined contribution pension schemeFull time- 41 hours per weekPermanentWarrington Mail Centre, Orion Blvd, Great Sankey, Warrington, WA5 3XAAt Royal Mail we delivery more.As a Work Area Manager, you will work in a busy mail centre and be responsible for managing operations in a specified area.The roleLeading a dedicated team of up to 15 full and part time employees, you will hold regular one to one and team meetings and review the area’s performance and plans on a daily basis. You’ll have line management responsibility to managing your team’s sick absence, attendance, training all whilst engaging with the team to drive performance.Championing health and safety initiatives, increasing efficiency, and identifying areas of improvements will be essential to your role. Supporting the Shift Manager, you will provide a high quality of service to our customers and ensure all operational targets are met.Skills and experienceAs this is an extremely interesting and varied role, we are looking for candidates who are flexible, can work under pressure and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. As a leader within the business, you must demonstrate evidence on your CV of the following:

• Managing and leading a large team to maximise performance.
• People skills – good communication skills, able to engage and motivate team members to work to high standards.
• Target driven with a track record of improving performance and achieving KPIs.
• Experience of introducing change/improvements and successfully leading people through change.
• Data analysis and problem solving – ability to use data to identify trends in performance and then develop solutions/make improvements.
• Relationships – able to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to achieve business benefits.
• Experience from a logistics/parcel distribution background would be beneficial.

Shift pattern5 days across Monday – Saturday 14:00pm – 22:12pm.
