The Growth Company (GC) Employment team is offering an exciting opportunity for a Work and Wellbeing Navigator to join in our busy Greater Manchester area to support residents to navigate local employability provision in order to find the best service to meet their needs.To provide a point of first contact to residents and liaising with a range of organisations such as local authority, VCSE partners and employment support providers.GC is a fast-growing, purpose-based social enterprise, and, as part of our mission for positive change, we deliver employment, health, and justice contracts across the North of England. Our services focus on empowering people to develop their strengths and make positive progressions in their lives.Key Responsibilities:
- Management of resident contacts through all contact channels including in person, telephone, email, and the website/app.
- Conducting detailed and empathetic interviews with customers in relation to potential actions
- Follow procedures for capturing and recording all client generated communication and action accurately into the CRM system.
- Make a judgment about what the next steps should be, based on understanding the problem, and the effective use of GC resources and other agencies which provide advice.
- Where appropriate refer or signpost residents to an internal generalist or specialist advisor or external agency in line with documented procedures.
- Managing workflow and escalation of action relevant point of contact within advice providing partner organisations.
- Working with line manager on the marketing, networking, and promotion of the service to partner organisations and customers.
- To work as part of a small team to ensure collective objectives and targets are achieved.
- Liaise and coordinate electronic diaries and book appointments for residents, issuing partners with appointment times and dates immediately on receipt of referral.
- Raising payments and purchase orders using internal financial systems where appropriate.
About you:
- Well-developed IT skills, including and understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheet, diary management and email.
- Confident and professional in dealing with clients and stakeholders.
- A resilient Self-starter, able to work using own initiatives and to a plan, work and deliver under pressure.
- Must have good customer service skills, good organisation skills and excellent IT skills.
- Good organiser, able to manage multiple activities.
- Strong commitment to high quality work.
- Good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
- Experience of administrative and CRM systems.
Skills Required:
- Must have good customer service skills, good organisation skills and excellent IT skills.
- Previous experience of dealing with members of the public both face to face and on the telephone.
- An ability to work without close supervision and to identify and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work to challenging target and key performance indicators.
- The ability to work under pressure in a highly performance driven environment.
- An ability to gather and assess information quickly and accurately in order to identify the best next step for clients.
- Must have first class interpersonal skills to deal with clients and a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience of and an ability to deal with frustrated/angry/distraught clients in a calm and effective manner.
