Compensation for this direct hire opportunity ranges between $30.60-$37.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!What a Welder will do:
- Operator arc and gas welding on a wide variety of metals and their alloys, not requiring all-position welding
- Complete welding on commercial and military fabrications involving critical safety and load requirements
- Plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work
- Determine proper machine settings, gas, and filler selections for particular base metal and process applications
- Operate the ring roller and associated equipment
- Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols
Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor
What you need to be a Welder:
- Vocational or high school diploma with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics and shop practices plus a formal on-the-job training or equivalent program
- Requires certification to qualified procedures in accordance with Mil-STD 248, ASME Section IX or other code compliance specified by customer contracts (see section 11 (e))
