Arla FoodsWarehouse Team Leader (Days)Arla Foods, National Distribution Centre, LS10 1NNAn exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader has arisen to join the team at our National Distribution Centre in Leeds.This is a key role on site, as the individual will managing the warehouse shift operation daily, maintaining and improving the H&S culture within the operation and improving efficiencies through team management ensuring continuous improvement & enhanced performance in line with the company’s strategy & key performance indicatorsThis is a day shift role, working 4 on 4 off , permanent 12 hour shift pattern, although occasional flexibility may be required.About the job

• Responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day-to-day team objectives to deliver the business policies and programmes in the warehouse area managing around 25 people.
• Ensure quality and food safety within in own area of responsibility, and quality and food safety mindset
• Labour planning to ensure optimal shift performance and cost against forecast to deliver customer orders on time and in full
• Management of team KPI’s through performance management using SAP EWM Labour Management
• Ownership on shift for site safety through safety walks, audits and observations
• Develop team colleagues through Dialogue process
• Proactively participates in strategic projects where required
• Coaching team on new ways of working
• Regular updates with Team Manager & SMT

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

• Applicants should have demonstrated the ability to manage a group of individuals or a team.
• Applicants must have a strong technical mindset, be ambitious and KPI driven with a focus on optimisation of the processing plant and the reduction of waste.
• You must be a good communicator with a natural coaching style. The following skills and experiences would also be desirable:

• Leadership and People Management skills.
• Performance management
• Good Understanding of SAP and its applications.
• Lean Knowledge and application of One CI
• Process driven data collection
• Microsoft Office Tools
