POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice Provost for Academic Resource Management is responsible for strategic resource planning across the division of Academic Affairs, including budget management, labor relations, and academic space allocation. This includes ensuring resources are optimized across Academic Affairs and are aligned with institutional priorities to support the University’s Strategic Plan. This position will be actively involved in managing the subvention allocation process in support of the University’s new activity-based budget model; engage with academic deans and chief business officers on resource management and multi-year financial planning; and supervise staff who oversee labor relations and matters pertaining to academic personnel for the Office of the Provost. In addition, this role serves as a key advisor to the Provost on all financial and resource allocation matters within Academic Affairs.

Required Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Master’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or business administration.
2. Minimum of seven years of demonstrated successful professional experience in financial management in a complex organization.
3. Knowledge of higher education financial operations, policies, and procedures.
4. Advanced knowledge of leading practices related to the evaluation of financial and non-financial outcomes within a decentralized organization.
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills, including interaction with complex financial models and human resource considerations.
6. Experience with human resource policies and practices.
7. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
8. Proficiency in written communication skills, including experience producing professional reports and presentations.
9. Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
10. Supervisory experience.
11. Experience using the student, human resources, finance, and grant modules of enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, Banner, Workday).
