Vehicle Technician Required – Southampton, Hampshire
- Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00
- No Weekends,
- Basic Salary up to £34,000, OTE £44,000 + Uncapped
- Excellent Bonus Structure

Our client, a Franchised Main Car Dealer is currently looking to hire a vehicle technician to join their team in a busy automotive environment in the Southampton Area.Our client has a strong reputation within the automotive trade, with over 420 staff employed across Hampshire, West Sussex & Surrey. They offer a steady, well-paid employment with a pleasant atmosphere alongside continuous training and development.They have a large successful service operation and are looking for a Vehicle Technician to lead the team and push the workshop team forward. You will ideally well verse within vehicle servicing and repair.We have worked with this client for several years, they provide a great place to work and excellent earning and progression opportunities.What’s in it for you as a Vehicle Technician:

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client:
- Carrying out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with brand technical standards.
- Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
- Undertake MOTs to VOSA standard
- Liaising directly with customers where appropriate.
- Providing support to less experienced colleagues.
- Attending regular training to update technical skills.
- Ensuring that the immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous to either themselves or others.
What our client expects of their Vehicle Technicians:
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation to Level 2 or 3 standard
- Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Systematic and organised with an eye for detail
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues with a proactive can-do attitude
- Ability to multi-task
- Willingness to learn and keep up to date with product and technical information.
- Thrives in a high-pressured environment.
- Full valid UK driving licence
