As a member of the Reliability Implementation team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient condition assessment of Nova Scotia’s Energy Delivery System. This position is considered a safety sensitive position. As such, the successful candidate must comply with the Emera Alcohol and Drug Policy which requires a confidential pre-employment alcohol and drug test in accordance with the Emera Alcohol and Drug Procedure. These skills will make you successful::To thrive in this role, you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies and skills:A Grade XII education or equivalent, with reading and writing skills necessary to perform the duties of the position safely and effectively, is required.You must be able to perform heavy labour duties with demonstrated skills in general depot/yard/building cleanliness requirements and be familiar with and capable of using common hand and power tools in the course of the day-to-day work.Being self-motivated and having the ability to get along well with others and work with minimum supervision is essential.A strong environmental awareness and dedication, with understanding and experience with recycling requirements and standards is an asset.You must hold a valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License with a minimum of two years driving experience and provide a driver’s abstract satisfactory to NSPI.Demonstrated experience with or certification in material handling using aerial devices like boom trucks is an asset.You must be capable of working in a variety of confined spaces using all appropriate personal protective equipment and other safety devices.We understand that experience comes in many forms, and we’re dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team.
