Full time Urgent Care Veterinarian (Emergency/Overnight care) – Hiring Immediately + Flexible Schedules – West Des Moines, IAA partner hospital in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a DVM degree and experience in emergency and/or overnight care, providing urgent care services to both canine and feline patients. Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency and urgent care services to pets
• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries
• Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments
• Perform necessary surgeries (within the scope of urgent care)
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using cloud-based EMR
• Communicate with clients about their pets’ conditions and care plans

Qualifications:

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in Iowa (or the ability to obtain a license)
• Experience in emergency and/or overnight care is preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
