About: Howard EcoWorks is an environmental nonprofit based in Howard County, Maryland. We are addressing climate issues with environmental restoration, while providing career opportunities in the green industry. We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 spring and summer workforce development program, UpLift.
UpLift Program: As a workforce development program, the UpLift program includes a structured professional development curriculum to prepare participants best for their careers’ next steps providing industry exposure events in the environmental industry, career coaching and mentoring, and certificates in the environmental installation sector (CBLP-A, Red Cross First Aid, OSHA-10). The goal of this program is to guide participants in the discovery of their personalized career paths and provide participants with the tools to be able to successfully navigate the professional environment. UpLift Crew Leader Position:
The Uplift Crew Leader will be an essential part of the Howard EcoWorks field team providing guidance and oversight to the Uplift Crew Members. Crew Leaders are responsible for leading the Uplift Crew; overseeing assigned tasks and field projects, assessing and evaluating the performance of Uplift members in coordination with the Landscape Foreman, and actively participating in field projects including tree planting and maintenance, installation and maintenance of landscaping projects, invasive species removal and more.
