Shape better services as a Treasury Assistant (12 Month Contract)Hybrid – Home based with regular travel to our Sheffield officeYou will assist the Scheme Operations Treasury Manager in providing the Scheme Finance Treasury Service to our clients, Scheme Finance Team and Pension Operation Teams.Job title: Treasury Assistant – 12 Month Fixed Term ContractJob Description:Key responsibilities

• As directed by the Treasury Operations Manager the processing of accounting and treasury transactions to update the accounting and treasury records for client accounts
• Provide scheme finance and accounting reports as requested by Treasury Operations Manager, Scheme Finance and Scheme Accountants

Key tasks

• Recording and processing of daily bank receipts from account statements
• Receive, record and processing cheque receipts for all clients
• Preparing and posting journals for receipts in relevant systems
• Updating the member records with receipts in relevant systems
• Liaising with Finance and Pension Operation Teams
• Prepare client treasury reports and reconciliations as required
• Process complaints at the earliest opportunity with a positive attitude, addressing the true root cause and implementing effective corrective action in order to prevent re-occurrence

Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceEssential

• Experience of accounting software packages
• Experience of working in an accounts department
• Bank reconciliations
• Excel – able to sort, filter and organise data and produce easily readable spreadsheets
• Ensure that all data is accurately processed particularly in relation to payment of monies

Desirable

• Understanding the various types of pension schemes and terminology
• Experience of working in a Treasury team
