💼 Salary: £33,000 per yearWe’re hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in the plumbing, heating, and bathroom wholesale industry. They’re looking for a Transport Supervisor to join their busy and supportive team in Exeter. This is a great opportunity for someone with supervisory experience in logistics or transport to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.Role OverviewAs Transport Supervisor, you’ll oversee a team of drivers at a next-day delivery hub, ensuring smooth operations, safety compliance, and high service standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve health & safety and transport compliance.
- Plan and adjust delivery routes for optimal efficiency.
- Provide coaching and feedback to drivers, ensuring legal and company standards are met.
- Manage vehicle inspections and maintenance schedules.
- Respond to operational challenges such as breakdowns or fluctuating delivery volumes.
- Support cost control through effective planning and resource management.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a supervisory or management role, ideally within transport or logistics.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and transport regulations (preferred).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident using IT systems and analysing data.
- Proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
