Click for more informationWHAT TO EXPECTJLR’s Global Operations department manages 28 prime warehouses globally across 15 countries receiving circa 4 million inbound lines and shipping, circa 17 million outbound lines in aprox. 5,850 sea-freight containers and 11.4 Million kg of airfreight on an annual basis. The purpose of the role is to support and maximise the efficiency, customer delivery and cost effectiveness of transport operations within JLR’s Aftermarket Supply Chain network.

  • Reporting and monitoring of freight budget, cost reporting and analysis of trend performance. Liaising with JLR customers as requires including importers and retailers
  • Responsible for new dealer / supplier / carrier set up process within SAP/iPOS.
  • Working as part of a team (including JLR 3PL – Unipart) tasked with approval of SOP’s, implementation of performance measures (KPI’s), Environmental Innovation metrics, claims reduction and communication procedures.
  • Carry out sample audits of transport carrier invoices in line with the JLR procedures to ensure that freight is charged and recovered in line with JLR’s policy
  • Lead SCM Global Operations in various projects

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Understanding of parts / logistics and transport processes
  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes Including Dangerous Goods Regulations.
  • The use of Transport Management Systems would be useful.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills. Able to construct, manipulate and interpret complex data, and to make recommendations on this analysis.
  • Experience of developing transport network strategies to deliver Customer Service and Financial targets.
