ABOUT THE ROLE.At a glance:Role Title: Transport Administration Customer Delivery HubPosition: This position is a permanent roleHours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 Hours, Monday to Saturday, earliest start 06:00 am and latest finishing time 10:00 pm.Bank Holiday and Sunday work is not required for this position.Location: Killingworth (CDH)Salary: The starting rate for this position is £26,000.00, annualPlease note: This role requires you to work on-site due to operational requirements.Our Customer Delivery Operations are a vital part of our business.Here at the Partnership, our Transport Administrator will take ownership of the department’s operational success by assisting site management with daily tasks and project work, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and using your customer experience to be an ambassador of John Lewis and Partners.As our Transport administrator, you will:Undertake administrative tasks relating to Transport and vehicle legal compliance amongst other administration duties.Ensure the operation remains legally compliant with adherence to Domestic and EU Driver’s Hour regulations.Maintain effective relationships with external service providers & internal vehicle maintenance units.Monitor customer delivery routes to ensure high levels of customer service are met.Effectively communicating with all Partners and raising operational issues to the Transport/Site Management Teams in a timely manner, providing handovers at the end of your shift.Essential skills you will need:Excellent PC Skills including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with Transport Compliance systems for defective vehicles and driver’s hours.Maths and very good communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood working knowledge of IT SystemsPrevious Administration experienceDesirable Skills you can bring:Very good organisation and planning skills with a good working knowledge of Transport LegislationKnowledge of Telematics systems & Routeplanner.Closing Date: May 12, 2025Pay: £26,000.00 – £40,000.00 AnnualContract Type: PermanentHours of Work: 37.5Job Level: Partnership Level 9Where You’ll Be Working: Killingworth Customer Delivery Hub (John Lewis & Partners), Camperdown Ind Estate, Killingworth, Tyne and Wear, NE12 5SRABOUT THE PARTNERSHIPWe’re the largest employee owned business in the UK and home of our cherished brands, John Lewis and Waitrose.
