Trade Operational Systems ManagerWe are looking for a Trade Operational Systems Manager to act as a conduit and point of contact between IS and Trade Depots and Support functions to address their needs, improving efficiency and accuracy in processes and reporting.What will I be doing?Based in the field the Trade Operational Systems Manager will:

  • Influence project teams to ensure that work is delivered appropriately to the needs of the business in respect of functionality and capability and that full benefits are obtained.
  • Co-ordinate the interests of Trade stakeholders in all systems developments.
  • Supporting IS in introducing technological enhancements to the trade division to ensure full buy in from the user community of IS investments
  • Detailed knowledge of the ‘Howdens Operational Ways of Working’ to ensure the business receives developments that fit within our operational ways and culture.
  • Identify areas where improved processes would drive efficiencies and potentially cost savings throughout the division and work with IS to implement
  • Writing, planning and implementing processes and procedures engaging and influencing all parties ensuring business ownership.
  • Provide input to build and support Business cases to enable Senior Management to prioritise
  • Ensure that all trade division stock is received in from primary and despatched to customers correctly. Reconciling all stock between SAP and K8.
  • Understanding and communicating various changes and new initiatives. Provide users with the relevant knowledge and methodology to enable individuals and departments to better support the business growth model.

  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to deep dive into issues and solutions but also provide concise overview for the benefit of colleagues and management.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Adopts a systematic and methodical approach
