The Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) Division of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver Campus) invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position in Management Information Systems at the rank of Assistant Professor.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have completed or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. in information systems or a related field and have a demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching. We also welcome applications from outstanding candidates who currently hold positions at other institutions and have established records of research productivity and teaching excellence.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties include developing and maintaining an active research program aimed at making a significant contribution to the academic profession, to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Management Information Systems Group and the Sauder School of Business. Teaching and service requirements are similar to other research-intensive universities.
Candidates will be expected to teach MIS courses such as management information systems, cybersecurity, IT project management, database management systems, business programming, analytics, AI, or other relevant courses that support our business technology management and business analytics curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Appointment is available July 1, 2026, and is subject to final budgetary approval. The expected pay range for this position is $200,000-$250,000 per annum.
