A national leader in frozen, specialty seafood is looking to add a temporary Import Specialist to their team here in Seattle. This temporary role offers weekly pay and the opportunity to grow your experience with the import process. This is a full time, temporary position anticipated to last 3-4 months.
In this Import Specialist role, you will support overall logistics and imports.
As a Import Specialist you will be:
- Maintain Import Department status of all shipments
- Oversee entry process of Import Department
- Liaison with Customs Brokers as necessary regarding the status of shipments
- Manage import claims
- Read and understand company policies regard C-TPAT and requirements of foreign vendors
Import Specialist Qualifications:
- 3+ years customs brokerage, freight forwarding and international transportation
- Familiarity with basic documents used in international transportation
- Experience with perishables
- Strong technical proficiency with experience utilizing ERP software
- Experience with in dealing with U.S. Customs
Location: Downtown Seattle
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Pay: $35 – $40/hr
