Temporary Field Technician

The purpose of this position is to conduct outdoor field trial activities in accordance with
protocols developed by the PI, Daisy Ahumada. Duties include driving a work pickup truck,
working outdoors for extended periods, walking through field crop plots, collecting
weather and soil measurements, carrying equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, cleaning and maintaining equipment, taking photographs of plants, assessing plant diseases, collecting
plant and soil samples, recording field observations, assisting with treatment applications,
setting up and maintaining trial plots, entering and organizing data, and supporting other
routine field research activities as needed.
Work Schedule:
The position requires one half day and one full day per week,scheduled sometime between Monday and Friday. The half day will typically be from8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and the full day will be from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Noweekend work is required.
