Here you’ll report to the IT Project Manager and will work alongside Engineers and QA colleagues, as well as IT managers and SME’s, completing obsolescence and modernisation requirements.The scope of which will include data gathering, assessments, agreement and validation of plans, deep dives into problem areas and supporting the core team’s working practices, whilst managing dependencies and commitment from multiple contributing teams, as well as collaborating with central obsolescence teams to drive right outcomes for our area.The position requires estimating and appropriately addressing potential issues and risks, and engaging resources to effectively resolve any technical issues.The difference you’ll make:

  • Supporting Digital Application teams to achieve Obsolescence and Modernisation objectives
  • Supporting the delivery of changes/enhancements to Digital systems/applications
  • Providing Digital Teams with solutions, putting the customer at the heart of what we do
  • Providing clear, concise updates where required, maintaining Digital Obsolescence and Modernisation reporting
  • Developing relationships with several areas of the business to drive completion, obtaining and sharing knowledge with multiple areas of the bank

What you’ll bring:These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Technical Business Analyst with the ability to use Internal Tools to support high level analysis, with experience of Operating System & Database obsolescence/upgrade-based projects
  • Proven experience in managing software and hardware obsolescence across multiple projects simultaneously within Financial Services
  • Understanding of change management methodologies, quality assurance best practice and deployment management to ensure change activities are delivered
  • A great communicator with the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders in a clear, concise way, as well as create relationships with external to Digital areas
  • Ability to complete Risk analysis and customer impact assessments if required, pre and post change if required

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Cloud (AWS/Azure) Experience
  • IBM API knowledge and ability to support if required to drive achievement of common goals
  • Metrics / Report automation

What else you need to know:This is a Fixed Term contract role to run until Feb 2026 and is based in our Unity Place office, Milton Keynes.We want our people to thrive at work and home and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location.We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangement within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process.If you’re interested in this role but with part time hours or a job-share we would still love to hear from you and discuss these.
