Job DescriptionSalary Range: $52.13- $62.06POSITION SUMMARYAs a key member of the Information Management Technology (IMT) team, the Team Lead, Application Analyst is responsible for providing proficient, professional and skilled support for clinical software applications used within Cambridge Memorial Hospital and its partners. The Team Lead will implement, integrate, enhance and support our HIS application suite, implement, maintain and support third party integrated clinical applications and develop and maintain interfaces for application integrations and to populate external data repositories. The Team Lead will ensure the Application Team members’ activities are prioritized based on the organization and departmental priorities and that accepted Project Management Methodologies are followed. The Team Lead will assign staff to deliver support to end users in the organization about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage application services and oversee communication updates with key stakeholders’ at all organizational levels.
  • Responsible for acting as a subject matter expert in all software applications used and supported by the organization.
  • Direct a team of 5 IT professionals including the performance management life cycle.
  • Prioritize; plan and deliver IT based enhancements and solutions.
  • Responsible for delivering IT sustainment objectives.
  • Analyze application trends and build best practice solutions.
  • Manage testing process end to end.
  • Lead the implementation, customization and integration of clinical software applications.
  • Coordinate the Application Project Portfolio.
  • 3rd level on call support for all critical patient applications.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the IT Strategic Plan.
  • Conduct research into software application products and services in support of development and purchasing efforts.
  • Drive next generation applications solutions to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Interface with cross functional stakeholders to gather end user requirements and implement continual improvements.
  • Ensures compliance to defined budgetary goals.
  • Increase effectiveness of the Applications Team by daily coaching, defining expectations and conduct, providing context, setting performance standards and assigning tasks.
  • Work with IT Operations team lead, and the Manager of IT to deploy applications, technologies, policies and processes that meet business requirements and strategic goals.
  • Ensures compliance to IT strategic goals through Technology exploration and tracking of industry offerings and providing recommendations for the IT Leadership Team to evaluate. Assess technical impact of recommended solutions and provide feedback.
  • Manages implementations of defined lifecycle policies, identify gaps and risks ensuring adherence to IT components of SLA’s in partnership with IT Leadership.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation.
  • Current knowledge of trends in technology relating to healthcare software applications.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing human resources, management principles, practices and procedures.
  • Proven track record delivering IT solutions that align with the organizational goals and objectives.

Assets

  • experience with Meditech Magic and Oracle Health/Cerner an asset
  • CAPM or PMP certified or interested in acquire certification.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL, LEAN and service delivery.

Education & Certification

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems.
