Position Summary
This position offers a unique opportunity to both observe and contribute to the learning and capacity-building journey of key stakeholders within the parliamentary ecosystem, with the ultimate goal of supporting parliaments in becoming — and remaining — leaders in effective gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE) practices. Contributors to the course, including the learners themselves, comprise high-level international experts and practitioners — such as Members of Parliament, Senators, and senior representatives from the United Nations.
Primary Responsibilities
Your main responsibility in this role is to ensure the seamless technical operation, performance, and deployment of the online learning tools and processes. These elements are essential to delivering the substantive course content and meeting the learning objectives.

You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all technical aspects of the online sessions and interactions, before, during, and after each session.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must:
Be a graduate student. Undergraduate students with proven, extensive, relevant technical experience may be considered.
Have prior, multiple, demonstrable, advanced, successful experiences in:
The coordination and management of all technical aspects of live web sessions and online interactions in the context of an online course.
The preparation of and real time management of relevant software and tools.
The use of the MS Office Suite, including Teams, Forms and related online and interactive tools, as well as Sharepoint in performing the above.
You preferably have:
Language, communications, and diplomatic skills:
You must have
McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
Given the seniority of participants and guest speakers — including Members of Parliament, Senators, and senior representatives from the United Nations — proven communication and diplomatic skills are essential. Experience engaging with international organizations and/or senior management in public institutions is a strong asset.
