Talent is what we do.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our internal HR team. Ideally you will have experince in Executive Search, Recruitment or an in-house talent acquisition team. The role reports to the Head of Recruitment and Talent, and the talent team are responsible for all Odgers Berndtson internal recruitment across the UK.

  • Identify, engage and attract candidates for live mandates through various channels, including direct sourcing or headhunting, advertising on job boards, and referral sourcing.
  • Interview and assess candidates against the role brief and core competencies.
  • Build strong relationships across the business internally, and externally with candidates, agency partners and suppliers.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations (Partners, COO, CEO and hiring managers) with open communication and a partnership approach.
  • Write well-structured, plain speaking, inclusive job briefs and adverts and manage online adverts.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job briefing to offer negotiation.
  • Help manage the summer internship process and programme.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs which includes database management in line with GDPR.
  • Contribute to our DE&I objectives by championing inclusive recruitment processes and ensuring equitable opportunity.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices to support HR, Talent and DE&I initiatives in pursuit of continuous improvement, innovation, and the use of technology and AI to improve our processes and offerings.
  • Ad hoc cover within the HR team when needed.

  • Experience working in either an in-house talent acquisition team, recruitment or executive search
  • Strong research skills.
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft package including PowerPoint or other design platforms (for creative job brief design)
  • ATS or CRM database experience
  • Technically savvy, interested in new technologies and AI
