HUB International is continuously GROWING, and we are looking for an individual with an ENTREPRENEUR mindset to join our Human Resources team!

HUB is seeking a driven and proactive Talent Acquisition Partner to oversee the complete recruitment cycle, including branding and talent attraction for our Prairies region. In this position, you will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition for Canada, working closely with leaders and staff while managing the talent process across Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing current and future talent needs, sourcing and hiring practices, implement improvements, and train others on recruitment best practices. The ideal candidate has experience using a variety of social platforms and other CRM and talent technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and work collaboratively with each hiring manager to understand job requirements and expectations

  • Post job, screen job applicants and conduct phone interviews

  • Educate and excite candidates on the exciting career potential at HUB

  • Resumes searching via LinkedIn and Indeed

  • Create campaigns through our CRM Phenom

  • Use an applicant tracking system to manage candidates through the TA lifecycle

  • Oversee the scheduling and logistics of interviews

  • Help assess candidates and contribute to hiring decisions

  • Administer pre-employment background screening and conduct reference checks as necessary

  • Assist with onboarding with the HR team

  • Improve recruiting effectiveness and hiring strategies

  • Evaluate current talent sourcing strategies and recommend improvements

  • Train hiring managers and others on best practices for recruiting

  • Build our employer brand internally and externally by creating inspiring, fun and innovative job postings/ads to engage passive candidates

  • Manage various recruitment channels such as LinkedIn, Workday, Phenom, the Employee Referral Program, social media platforms, external job boards and third-party recruitment agencies

  • Assess and improve current hiring pipelines

  • Hold virtual and in-person events to improve the candidate experience

  • Utilize best practices to research, source, attract, and contact possible candidates to develop a diverse pool of qualified candidates

  • Grow and maintain a strong pipeline to reduce the time to hire

  • Collaborate on talent projects for candidate and be a contributor with our TA COE initiatives

  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

Required Education/Experience

  • A proven track record of sourcing and hiring top performing talent is critical to the role

  • At least 3-5 years professional experience in Talent Acquisition

  • Degree or diploma in human resources, business administration, or related field is an asset

  • ATS or CRM experience required

  • Sourcing candidates from various social media platforms

  • Bilingual in French is not required but would be an asset

  • Understanding of insurance industry would be an asset

  • Ability to learn the business is essential

Department Human Resources

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
