🏷️ Title: Talent Acquisition Lead (open to “Head of” also)👫 Department: People & Talent – reporting to CEO.💰 Salary: £55k – £90k🎁 Benefits & Culture: See .📈 Equity: A very generous EMI share offering.Holiday: 26 days + bank holidays.Mission: Elevate later life for everybody and build the care sector of the future.💻 Office Policy: Hybrid with a minimum of 2 core office days per week.🌍 Office Location: London Bridge, London, UK.The Opportunity:Having quickly grown to be the UK’s no. 1 care directory with over one million monthly users and more than 5,000 partner care services, Lottie is looking to hire an ambitious and hands-on Talent Acquisition Lead to oversee all things hiring at Lottie as we step on the gas of growth in 2025 by scaling to 100+ full time teammates and expand overseas to the United States of America.The successful candidate will report directly into Lottie’s Co-Founder & CEO – but will be given high autonomy to own and lead Lottie’s entire recruitment process from marketing new roles and headhunting outstanding talent, through to overseeing a 5* candidate hiring experience and negotiating new employment contracts. The individual will join Lottie’s senior management team and will be expected to work closely with other leadership, as well as hiring managers to deliver on Lottie’s ambitious future hiring plans and to ensure we’re attracting the best talent possible.🔢 Interview Process:

  • Hiring manager interview with Will Donnelly (Lottie’s Co-Founder & CEO).
  • Culture interview with Lottie’s Senior People Manager and one member of Lottie’s Senior Management team.
  • Technical assessment interview with Will Donnelly (Lottie’s Co-Founder & CEO) and Chris Hart (Lottie’s Analytics & Strategy Director).

Beyond this, Lottie has her eyes set on international expansion with Lottie’s USA launch impending and with a view of making affordable care accessible everywhere in the world.💻 What does this role involve?

  • Owning, maintaining and improving talent related processes across the business.
  • Agreeing new hires and hiring priorities with Lottie’s co-founder & CEO.
  • Overseeing a fair and inclusive hiring process that aims to attract diverse talent to Lottie.
  • Leverage the latest technologies to build a scalable one person talent function that can scale up and scale down depending on hiring activity.
  • Own Lottie’s 360 hiring process including:
  • Scoping out new roles in partnership with senior leadership and hiring managers.
  • Writing job descriptions and supporting hiring managers in creating effective interview tasks.
  • Creatively market new roles and lead on initiatives aimed at attracting outstanding talent to Lottie such as internal referral schemes and partnerships with external organisations such as Code First Girls.
  • Supporting inbound applications through proactive headhunting and network referrals.
  • Managing 100% of all hiring processes including candidate communication, scheduling of interviews and providing prompt feedback to applicants.
  • Conduct talent screens to ensure hiring managers are met with highly qualified candidates.
  • Keeping hiring managers informed and up to date on hiring processes.
  • Offer on new roles and negotiate employment contracts.
  • Conduct background and reference checks.
  • Oversee 5* candidate experience from start to finish.
  • Report on and improve key hiring metrics such as applicants per role, average time to hire, candidate net promoter score, cost per hire and quality of hire.
  • Always be prospecting top talent and proactively build talent pipelines throughout the year.
  • Present strategic talent updates and progress in important meetings such as all hands, company team days and senior management meetings.
  • Build outstanding relationships with the talent teams of Lottie’s VC investors including Accel, General Catalyst and Kindred.
  • Manage any external recruiters (not commonly used).
  • Roll out training for hiring managers to help improve Lottie’s interview processes and to ensure unbiased hiring.
  • Network with other people and talent teams to ensure Lottie is building the most forward thinking talent function in the UK.
  • Support CEO and senior people manager in building a market leading employer brand for hiring outstanding talent.
  • Continually monitor company levelling and role compensation.
  • Support CEO and senior people manager during performance review processes.

  • Generalist skillset (ideally has recruited for engineering/product roles previously) with 5+ years recruitment experience and a proven track record in building high performance teams and hiring multiple roles at once.
  • Enjoys high levels of autonomy and is excited by working in a very high pace environment.
  • Commercially minded and relishes working towards ambitious targets.
  • Proactive, hands-on and outcome driven.
  • Enjoys rolling up sleeves and someone who enjoys operating across the whole spectrum of the hiring process from devising talent related strategies through to writing job descriptions through.
  • Experienced at headhunting roles.
  • Data literate.
  • Experienced in managing competitive hiring processes and working with multiple stakeholders at any given time.
  • Expert understanding of applicant tracking software (Lottie uses Screenloop) and has good knowledge of other talent related systems.
  • Experienced in hiring diverse and inclusive teams, fostering an environment of belonging and equity.
