We are responsible for the co-ordination, management, and strategic direction of the business’ recruitment across Early Careers and Experienced & Executive hiring. If you wish to sit at the heart of a collaborative and innovative organisation where you can make a positive impact daily, our team is where you should be!Within Early Careers (EC), we focus on the recruitment of graduates and school leavers for our trainee programmes, which offer study support towards one or more relevant professional qualification(s), in addition to a variety of work experiences such as Work Shadowing, Internships and an Industrial Placement.This role is suited to someone who resides near to Edinburgh and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, undertaking multiple tasks and balancing several key priorities with varying deadlines whilst having line management responsibility. You will work proactively, reactively and flexibly in order to manage and support applicants through the VAC, Final Interview and offer stages of the recruitment process, encouraging and using initiative and, ultimately, fulfilling an exceptional candidate journey.You’ll make an impact by:

  • Delivering an excellent service to all those involved within the hiring process
  • Leading by example, you will be a reliable point of contact for applicants as they undertake our Virtual Assessment Centres, where appropriate progressing candidates through to the final stages of the process
  • Provide prompt and high-quality communications over the phone and email to create an environment where candidates are positively engaged and most likely to perform their best and accept an offer
  • Form and exude recruitment best practice, advising the business on process and policy

  • Communication and interpersonal skills – communication is key within the role as you will liaise with an array of internal and external people via email, phone, MS Teams and in person, requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Confidence – being confident around people of all levels is important given the regular liaison with various individuals from Assistants to Partners, all of whom will value your opinion.
  • Organisation – the ability to organise and prioritise is imperative as you will need to “juggle” tasks and priorities.
  • Discretion – the ability to maintain confidentiality is important as you will be privy to information such as individuals’ personal details.
  • Drive – having the drive to embrace and fulfil team and individual goals and visions is vital.
