In this role, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to promote sustainability and circular economy principles through the repair and refurbishment of used materials.

  • Develop and implement efficient repair and refurbishment processes for used materials, focusing on sustainability and waste reduction
  • Analyse and optimise existing repair techniques to improve durability and extend the lifespan of repaired items
  • Design and conduct tests to evaluate the performance and quality of repaired materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable repair practices into the overall product lifecycle
  • Research and recommend innovative materials and technologies to enhance the repair process
  • Create detailed technical documentation and reports on repair methodologies and outcomes
  • Manage repair projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Provide technical guidance and training to repair technicians and other team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainable engineering and circular economy practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Environmental)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering, preferably in a sustainability-focused role
  • Proven experience with used materials repair and refurbishment techniques
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices, particularly in relation to sustainable materials
  • Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth understanding of sustainability and circular economy principles
  • Knowledge of waste management and recycling processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred
  • Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable practices
