Hours:Shift Start Time: 6:30 AMShift End Time: 7 PMAWS Hours Requirement: 12/36 – 12 Hour ShiftAdditional Shift Information:Weekend Requirements: As NeededOn-Call Required: YesHourly Pay Range (Minimum – Midpoint – Maximum): $33.090 – $42.700 – $52.310This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU-UHW. As part of the terms of employment, employees in this role are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and remain a member (e.g. dues paying, fee paying, religious exception contributor) for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement.What You Will Do
Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room environment is safe, that equipment is functioning properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. A surgical technologist that applies clinical expertise in the roles of scrub surgical technologist.Required Qualifications

Essential Functions
Accountable for instrument trays to match the instrument list provided in the tray. Need to escalate when incomplete.
Update surgeon’s preference card per entity specific process.
Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure.
Scrubs, gowns and gloves.
Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medication/solutions needed for procedure.
Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to operation and before incision is closed.
Complies with all count policies and procedure.
Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
Helps in draping sterile field.
Passes instruments etc. to surgeon during procedure.
Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedure.
Cleans and prepares instruments for decontamination when needed.
Assists other members of team with terminal cleaning of room.
Assists in prepping room for the next patient when needed. * Problem resolutionIdentifies any deviation from expected procedure/policy.
Reports any patient safety issues.
Identities problems and takes appropriate action, without prompting to accomplish department objectives and improved quality of care.
Participates in teaching.
Role models the Sharp Experience.
