As an Experienced Residential Activity Worker, you will be at the heart of our mission to support young people in residential care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality care and support to children with complex emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Engaging young people in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, and kayaking.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with the children, promoting their emotional stability and development.
  • Supporting the children in developing essential life skills and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
  • Working within a team to ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in a Residential Children’s home or similar care setting is essential.
  • Passion for the Outdoors: A strong interest in outdoor activities and a desire to share this with young people.
  • Qualifications: While not essential, any outdoor activity qualifications (e.g., kayaking, climbing) would be advantageous.
  • Personal Qualities: We are looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, and resilient, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Hold a full UK driver’s license.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to work 39 hours per week, including sleep-ins.
