The Ideal Candidate is an experienced professional who is a technical expert in the Track discipline, and also possess a basic working knowledge of multiple other railroad related infrastructure disciplines. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and skill leading analytical investigations, and/or special studies, which result in the improvement of railroad safety.RequirementsConditions of Employment

QualificationsTo meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications.To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: * Railroad Safety Program Management: Development or implementation of the federal railroad safety laws or regulations; Managing, directing, or administering a transportation program; Risk management principles and data analysis.
