| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Supervisor Environmental Svcs for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). The primary purpose of the Supervisor (Environmental Services) position is to provide the leadership that oversees the work activities of cleaning personal to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions that meet standard of quality within the Health Care and Educational Institution. | Physical Demands and Work Environment | PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires the individual to stand, walk, talk and hear over 2/3 of the time; to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and to reach with arms and hands up to 2/3 of the time; to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell less than 1/3 of this time. The job requires that a weight be lifted or a force exerted up to ten (10) pounds 2/3 of the time, from twenty-five (25) pounds up to one-hundred (100) pounds less than 1/3 of the time. The position requires close, distance and color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception as well as the ability to focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The individual in this position may be exposed to environmental conditions such as fumes or airborne particles up to 2/3 of the time; to biohazard us materials or toxic or caustic chemicals that require the use of Personal Protective Equipment, to risk of radiation, wet of humid conditions (non-weather), outdoor weather conditions, work in high or precarious places, extreme heat or cold (non-weather), less than 1/3 of the time. Moderate noise is typical for the environment for this job. |
