About Missoula Mountain Bike Coalition

We are Missoula’s voice for mountain biking and have been expanding and improving Missoula’s dirt-surface riding options since 2010. Missoula Mountain Bike Coalition’s (MMBC) mission is to promote and create mountain biking opportunities in Missoula and surrounding areas through trail building, stewardship, outreach, and advocacy. The organization fulfills this mission through a small staff team and a large network of passionate volunteers. We routinely contract with local land managers to perform new trail construction and maintenance on public lands surrounding Missoula.

Primary Responsibilities

The Summer Trail Crew will support MMBC’s field-based programs and initiatives. This includes completing trail construction and maintenance of natural surface trails while acting as an MMBC ambassador, and will require occasional assistance with special events, including but not limited to volunteer dig days. The Summer Trail Crew will report to the Field Specialist, and may accomplish work under direct supervision or independently, depending on experience. Other field or organization support duties may be assigned on a limited basis.
