Job Summary:

Central 1 is hiring a Fraud Data Analyst Intern for a 4-month summer term from May to August 2025. This role is ideal for a student eager to apply technical skills in data analysis, coding, and visualization to support fraud detection and prevention efforts.

What you’ll be doing:
 

Data Analysis & Pattern Detection

• Use SQL and Python to analyze data and detect emerging fraud patterns.
• Translate insights into actionable rules and policies in fraud tools
  

 Reporting & Visualization

• Develop and update reports for fraud and AML analytics.
• Create visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Support benchmarking initiatives for credit unions and industry groups.
  

Fraud Strategy Development

• Analyze data to identify trends and implement new fraud prevention strategies.

What you’ll have:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify trends and communicate findings effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools
• Proficiency with SQL and Python
• Interest in financial services, payments, and emerging fintech solutions

Hourly: $25.00
