We’re hiring Crew Members (ages 17–25) for Summer 2026 in Taos.

Trail Crew
Build and maintain hiking trails, improve access, and help with erosion control projects in partnership with local trail organizations.

Stream Restoration Crew
Restore watershed health in the Rio Fernando Headwaters through rock work, erosion control, native seeding, and invasive species removal in partnership with conservation groups.

Taos Pueblo Historic Preservation Crew
Work on preservation and restoration of historic structures on Taos Pueblo, supporting cultural and architectural conservation efforts using traditional and modern techniques.

SEASON DETAILS:
June 1 – July 31, 2026
Monday–Friday jobshiringnearme.org 8:00am–4:30pm
Weekends + federal holidays off

PAY + BENEFITS:

• $650/week stipend before taxes ($16.25/hour equivalent)
• $1,565 AmeriCorps education Award after completion
• Free healthcare coverage (AmeriCorps)
• Paid days off
• Student loan forbearance + interest assistance (if eligible)

YOU SHOULD BE:

• Age 17–25
• Able to work outdoors in all weather
• Comfortable doing physical labor (hiking, lifting up to 50 lbs, using tools
• Team player with a strong work ethic
• Willing to learn and grow
• New Mexico resident
• Eligible for AmeriCorps service requirements
