Learn more about the opportunities we create for students, employees, and our province at .Position SummaryThe Pivot-Ed Day Camps Subject Matter Expert position are responsible for developing all instructional content and materials, through traditional classroom delivery and online delivery, to meet the learning outcomes of specific camps. Candidates must be committed to working to produce high quality curriculum materials that are up to date with current best practice standards. Content experts will need to work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop materials and to deliver the completed content within specific timelines.Position responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to:Provide High Quality Resources

  • Ensures content is up-to-date and incorporates Pivot-Ed’s best practice
  • Develops and updates curriculum, activities and guides as assigned for both face-to-face and online
  • Incorporates active learning into curriculum
  • Works with the Programming Officer to ensure materials are appropriate

Other Duties /Special Projects

  • Follows College Policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidates may have an opportunity to instruct the curriculum once developed.Required qualifications:

  • Equivalent industry experience or diploma/post-diploma certification will be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphics Design, Web Design, Creative Arts, or New Media Development or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years instructional experience with young learners is an asset.
  • Proficiency in software like Adobe Creative Suite, Unity, Blender, or similar.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with experience in scriptwriting or interactive narrative design.
  • Background in youth camps, workshops, or educational settings with project-based learning.
  • Knowledge of coding basics (e.g., Scratch, Python) and game development principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage young learners.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
