About the Opportunity

The Student Accounts Administrator will be responsible for advising students/families on all billing, payment, and tuition processes via email, in person, virtual meetings or front desk activity at Northeastern’s Canadian campuses located in Toronto and Vancouver. They will process payments using the payment system and vendor portals. The Student Accounts Administrator will assist with any billing set up/activity for all bills assessed, assist with 3rd party activity, assist with collections activity, student refunds, CashNet, Financial Force and any other Student Accounts related functions. The Student Accounts Administrator will reconcile all accounts related to payments and billing. They will collaborate with participating university partners to support student service and enrollment goals. This position will also assist with any projects related to Student Accounts or general Student Financial Services. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 1-2 years of related experience in student accounts, bursar, financial aid or student personnel administration
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, regulations regarding student billing and payments, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Flexible work schedule required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise students/families on all billing, payment and tuition processes. Process student refund requests, reconcile accounts. Advise students regarding outstanding balances and collection activity
  • Process payments, resolve/reconcile collection accounts, work with collection agencies, advise leadership of outstanding collection activity. Work with Finance to determine any escalated activity for collection accounts.
  • Assist with billing, Financial Force and Cashnet administration, including set up, rules, reconciliation
  • Assist with 3rd party billing, reconciliation, collection.

The expected hiring range is $61,105 CAD to $94,715 CAD based on the position’s responsibilities, scope and location
