Job Description:This position is accountable for the Mobility segment in Canada reporting to Power System division. Focus on Mobility for the entire Schneider Electric scope. Priority is given to deliver on segment expectation, develop long-term strategies, strategic partnerships and playbook for Mobility segment while securing orders for the entire Schneider Electric scope with existing accounts and channels. Ensuring involvement with all internal functions and business unit, developing strong customer intimacy while following marketing and sales fundamentals is key to succeed within the position.Core responsibilities:
- Business Developer Manager (BDM) for Mobility segment in Canada
- Mobility Segment: Rail, Airport, Port, EV Infrastructure
- Drive indirect reports (local sales, tendering, project management, technical)
Key activities:
- Develop and execute account plan
- Develop and execute large project pursuit strategy
- Support quotations for new projects (long cycle) and existing sites (short cycle)
- Maintain and develop existing contacts and support the customer with innovative sales solutions.
- Develop and execute the segment business plan and playbook
- Provide leadership, direction to lead the sales and in-field execution of marketing programs/initiatives, for the Mobility Market on a National level
- Identify new offerings to be developed to increase business
- Maintain sound knowledge of competitor activity and communicate to other stakeholders
- National liaison to Global segment, leads product launches, market development activities (training, program execution, etc.),
- Maintain opportunities pipeline, log in the company CRM, and follow the Customer Procurement Process (CPP)
- Ensure account, segment, and offer documentation is available
- Participate in industry organization and events
- Work closely with all functions to meet specific financial objectives for the segment.
- Key contacts will include Customers, Field Services and National Sales Regional Business Director
- Knowledge / Experience on infrastructure project development in mobility segment preferable
- Have at least 10 years of combined sales and technical experience in the electrical industry and mobility sector
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work productively with others through open communication is essential.
- Ability to effectively manage and operate at all levels within the organization
- Self-motivated and creative
- Effective time management skills
- Strong business sense and negotiation skills
- Detailed knowledge of Schneider Electric services and products preferable
- Possess strong business acumen, and demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic plans
- Ability to effectively influence, collaborate, and lead others
- Engineer degree, CET, or equivalent industry experience
- Bilingual English and French preferable
The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $160,000-$240,000 for candidates who are Quebec residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
