The intern selected for this role will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in various facets of park operations and management. This hands-on experience will involve collaborating with park staff to design and implement camp programs, which are essential for engaging visitors and enhancing their outdoor experiences. Additionally, the intern will play a key role in organizing the facility’s digital photo archive, ensuring that the park’s visual history is well-preserved and accessible. They will also assist in the preparation and installation of exhibits at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, contributing to the educational mission of the park. Furthermore, the intern will engage directly with the public, providing valuable interaction that fosters a deeper appreciation for the natural environment and the park’s offerings.
