We are seeking resumes for a Senior Environmental Engineer at our Gladstone, VA Riverville Mill.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions, often related to pollution, climate change, and sustainability.
• Design, test, and implement systems for clean water supply, wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and waste management.
• Ensure projects and facilities comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, and help obtain necessary permits.
• Collect and analyze environmental data to monitor pollution levels, assess environmental impacts, and inform project planning.
• Interact closely with operations, maintenance, engineering and process control personnel in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
• Environmental review of trial plans for process changes and chemical trials.

Basic Qualifications

• education – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science

• experience – A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a chemical/manufacturing facility

• Must possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Problem Solving: Ability to find creative and effective solutions to complex environmental challenges.
• Analytical Skills: Strong capabilities for analyzing data and evaluating scientific information to develop accurate assessments.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings, write reports, and collaborate with diverse teams of scientists, engineers, and public officials.
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of scientific principles from fields like biology, chemistry, and soil science, in addition to engineering.
