Specialist Mentor ASC | Part TimeUniversity of Westminster£28 per hour + £3.38 accrued holiday payPart-time, flexible hoursAs part of the eligibility criteria for this role, we require candidates to have completed the relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules.If you have not yet completed these modules, don’t worry – we are happy to support you in obtaining them. You will be provided with direct access to the required training materials. The training costs approximately £180 (One time Payment), and successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role.Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the National Autistic Society, which can serve as a valuable addition to your professional profile. Who are you?

  • Proven experience teaching students with SPLDs
  • Relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting autistic students
  • Passionate about helping students succeed
  • Immediately available

What will you be doing?As a Study Skills Tutor ASC, you’ll craft personalized learning plans, guiding students towards effective study techniques. You’ll collaborate with university staff and leverage online teaching tools. A typical day might involve:

  • Developing individualised learning plans
  • Guiding students in effective time management
  • Assessing student progress and adapting learning plans accordingly
