This role will bring our company values to life; Customer Driven, Results Oriented and People Powered through supporting retail operations to ensure alignment in processes, impact, timing, and coordination of initiatives; implementing change while minimizing negative impact to the stores.   • Based on priorities and tactical plan defined and communicated by Director Execution Support (DES), guide, coach and mentor Department Managers in-store, driving elevated operational execution and profit improvement
  • Share and reinforce profit improvement plan KPIs to Store and Department Managers
  • Regularly review performance of priority stores/departments with Store and Department Managers based on KPIs established with a focus on exceeding expectations
  • Problem solve with DES, MROs, Store and Department Managers to address department challenges, supporting plans and training to ensure sustainable improvement
  • Field questions from Department Managers on execution standards and best practices to support sales growth and cost controls
  • Train and coach Department Managers and teams ensuring flawless execution and implementation of industry leading retail department standards for areas of focus
  • Coach, mentor and motivate Department Managers and teams ensuring sustainability of results through consistently high customer service standards
  • Act as a resource for Store and Department Managers on specialized area of expertise.
  • Provide feedback to DES and store teams on best practices and continually assess effectiveness of standards and provide feedback for improvement
  • Share innovation and best practices
  • Provide Store/Department Managers and DES insights to support people planning, including identification of high potential employees
  • Working with MRO / L&D support training objectives
  • Champion safety practices in stores and ensure they are being maintained in collaboration with store teams, Integrated Health Management and Food Safety Teams

What you have to offer:

  • An undergraduate degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with corporate and franchise store network
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop Department Managers
  • Deep knowledge of retail operations processes and execution standards
  • High degree of financial and business acumen, strategic thinking and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to positively influence meaningful change
  • Ability to make data driven decisions and drive positive change
  • Experience leading Store and/or Department Managers – Deli and bakery experience a strong asset
