Sous ChefLocation: West End, South Dalton, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 7PN, United KingdomJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £36,000 – £40,000 annually (Plus £10k Tronc)Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications, maintaining consistency and taste.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed to improve skills.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met in accordance with health regulations.
• Participate in menu planning and the development of new recipes, contributing creative input.
• Help with inventory management, including ordering and monitoring stock levels to reduce waste.
• Assist with the maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any issues to the Head Chef.
• Handle special dietary needs and preferences, ensuring all guests are accommodated.
• Contribute to a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proficiency in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to follow and create recipes, maintaining consistency in cooking.

Desired Experience:

• Previous experience in a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing kitchen staff and training cooks.
• Experience with menu development and culinary planning is a plus.
