Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum + paid overtime + tips
Type: Full-Time | 4 days on, 3 days offAbout the Role:
We’re looking to recruit a talented and passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help lead the kitchen team at our award-winning, food-led pub near Wokingham. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a kitchen focused on quality, seasonality, and full ingredient traceability.You’ll play a vital role in driving daily service, mentoring junior chefs, and supporting the creative evolution of our menu as we aim for 2 AA Rosettes.What We Offer:Salary up to £37,000 depending on experience4 days on, 3 days off rota to support work/life balancePaid overtimeShare of tips (pooled and paid monthly)Company pension schemeStaff discounts and meals on dutyOngoing professional development and clear progression pathHands-on ownership and a supportive, people-first cultureYour Responsibilities Will Include:Leading shifts and supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operationsRunning all sections with confidence and high attention to detailTaking responsibility for ordering, stock control, and waste managementEnsuring health & safety and food hygiene standards are upheld at all timesAssisting in the development of junior chefs through coaching and trainingContributing ideas for seasonal menus and specialsMaintaining excellent communication with the front-of-house team

About You:Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a rosette-standard kitchenGenuine passion for British seasonal cooking, nose-to-tail principles, and sustainabilityCalm under pressure with a natural flair for leadershipHighly organised, clean, and efficientExperience working with fresh, local produce – butchery and larder skills advantageousRight to work in the UKAbout Us:
