The ideal candidate will be a servant leader capable of adapting their leadership style to different contexts and driving continuous improvement in our development processes.Your role

  • Manage and mentor multiple software development teams working with diverse technologies including React, Java, GoLang, and NodeJS.
  • Oversee both full-stack and back-end development projects.
  • Lead teams in various project management methodologies, including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and design teams to ensure alignment between technical implementation and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to transform teams into high-performing units.
  • Drive the adoption of more agile approaches and improve overall ways of working
  • Facilitate cross-team communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture discussions.
  • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and team performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Manage the expectations of stakeholders, whose products are in production and maintained by the software developers that report to you.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred), or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proven track record of leading software development teams.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in at least two of the following: React, Java, GoLang, or NodeJS
  • Experience with both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to improve development processes and team productivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and French.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience working closely with product management and design teams.
  • Adaptable leadership style with a focus on servant leadership principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or AWS.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, and/or e-commerce in general.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making and performance metrics.
