So, what’s your possible?Opportunity:Salary: £50,000 – £60,000This is more than just a job; it’s a mission.A key member of the Engineering team, this role leads Software Configuration Management within one of our major programmes along with support to the Configuration Management Practice Lead to improve the overall Configuration Management practices across the wider Defence Operating Unit throughout the UK. The focus is to provide Configuration Management Leadership to enable the programme to meet the requirements of our customers and provide mentorship to other members of the team within all areas of Defence.Our UK Defence business is a Sovereign software and systems centre of excellence. As well as developing and supporting UK wide and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems, our work is critical to the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. - Managing day to day activities of the Software Configuration, including establishing priorities and work assignments.
- Developing policies and procedures for Software Configuration Management
- Tracking compliance to policies and procedures and resolving/ escalating any compliance issues.
- Leading and facilitating Configuration Management Audits.
- Own and Administer Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool including issue resolution.

- Demonstrated functional knowledge of Software configuration management tools, best practices, and industry standards
- Demonstrated ability to influence and direct project teams on proper configuration control for major programs or multiple smaller programs
- Experience of ALM/PLM/MRP/ERP Tools such as Windchill and SAP
- Ability to think strategically about configuration management in support of engineering design and product support
