POSITION SUMMARYThis role is responsible for analyzing, installing, moving, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing complex industrial equipment.What you’ll do:· Assists with modifications to existing machinery and equipment to facilitate new production techniques and or improved equipment reliability.· Troubleshoots, repairs and rebuilds manual and automatic mechanical assemblies with proficiency and versatility, including electric, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Performs basic fabrication, piping and machining· Performs preventative maintenance according to equipment schedules· Collaborates and communicates with co-workers and management on topics, including concerns, issues and continuous improvement activitiesWhat you’ll need to be successful:· High School or GED· Minimum 3 years of applicable mechanic experience.What you bring to the table:· Good verbal and written communication skills· Strong diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills· Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills· Ability to perform physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks; to include frequent bending, kneeling and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsYOU MatterPEOPLE FIRST: BUILDING TALENT BY DESIGNAt Southland we aspire to build a workforce that’s as diverse as the people who occupy the buildings we design, build and maintain.
